On the 12th day of Rulon Rules, Coach Jen gave to me:
Never Ever Give Up On YOURSELF!
Strength training can be very intimidating for a lot of athletes, especially triathletes. We are very comfortable with our swimming, cycling, and running. We go forward. With lifting, you go up, down, and sometimes sideways, in addition to going back. It is not our “normal” way of training. If you are uncomfortable heading into the gym, head to a gym that knows what they are talking about, as well as that is a place where you feel comfortable changing the workout if you need to based on YOUR NEEDS!
