We have races, races every where this weekend and I reached out to the Rulon Racing Team and asked them what questions did they have for me heading into race week. Thanks to Ilis and Fede for asking away!  Check out the vlog below and noticed I placed the times of what questions were asked, as this was a little bit longer than normal.

Question #1 at 1:25 from Ilis:  “You always send some trainings when arriving to the race venue and sometimes we were not able to ride or to run. What should we do if we can’t move our legs those days.. should we hit the gym or do some hotel room strength?”

Question #2 at 5:25 from Fede: “Why is it important to keep moving during race week?”  I will chat also about the day off before or two days before the race. Definitely viewers choice.

Question #3 at 8:40 from Fede: “Why is important to stay off our feet?”

Question #4 at 10:30 from Ilis: How to plan our meals?

If I’m traveling to a place I’m not familiar with, I contact a bike shop where I’m going, and Just say “hey, I’m new to the area, or I’m coming in for this race, where can I go bike when I get in town.” I always contact a bike shop that is not listed as race support, they are more than willing to help you, even at national races. You can usually run on those places as well.

Yes, your nutrition a few days out is most important and the low fiber works as well. You have to know what works for you and don’t deviate.
