“When people told me I couldn’t do something, or they thought the “idea” was crazy…it fueled my fire to make it happen. I have always been a go-getter, and I didn’t let the word, “No” get in my way. I knew I would fail, but I would get back up and try again. As I got older, I started to realized something. People, who were scared of failing, were the people that thought I was crazy for doing something extraordinary. What I did was worked with Marine Mammals, auditioned for a Broadway show or did an Ironman Triathlon.”  ~Jennifer “Jen” Rulon, MS

Jen Rulon’s Story

Jen Rulon is a USA Triathlon Level 1 Coach of 16+ years and owner of JenRulon.com. She received her Masters in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science. You can find her knowledge shared in Triathlete Magazine, Runners World, on the TEDx Stage, the Health and Wellness Expo in San Antonio, TX, Men’s Journal Online, and the New York Times. Jen also practices what she preaches–she’s a 14x Ironman Triathlete who participated for the World Championship in Kona, Hawaii on October 14, 2017.

Her rewarding experience inspires Jen’s writing and speaking engagements; both from competing herself and from being lucky enough to share the success of athletes that she has coached.  With a wealth of knowledge from Ironman Triathlons, nutrition pre, during and post and the science behind building strength, Jen’s blog is full of resources for the athletic community. You will also see some of her knowledge shared in Runners World, Triathlete Magazine, Men’s Online Journal, and WebMD.

Living a full and happy life is the key to Jen’s success, but she wants nothing more than her athletes to feel the same way. She wants her athletes to step away from coaching with her, head into the world and believe that “Yes, it is possible to do anything, all I have to do is put my mind to it.”
