Do YOU need a Reset with Your Fitness in 2023?

Are you on a fitness burnout? Here is a scenario for you that I am curious if this has happened to you:

You are training for a fitness event, Ironman Triathlon, 50k, Marathon, and you literally what to say, “I AM FU&^ING done with this training.”

You want to throw in the towel. Maybe you are four weeks out or two months out, but you are exhausted, tired all the dang time, stressed because you are half-assing EVERYTHING, and can’t catch a break?

What did you do? I predict you either kept training or trained more. Maybe you train less or completely stopped training. Did you ever go on a vacation in the middle of your training?

Trust me; I have been there many times, feeling tired, overwhelmed, exhausted, and didn’t want to continue my training.

And Then Something Happened

I went to a 40th birthday party in Vegas, spent the weekend at the beach with my girls, spent time with my athletes at Ironman 70.3 Racine or visited family in Detroit, MI.

I stepped away from the daily grind of swimming, biking, running, and repeat. Instead, my coach and I adjusted my schedule to ensure that I got the long bike in or my swims in and ran long in Vegas or cooler temperatures in Michigan.

I guess in reality; I put together my CTRL-ALT-DEL retreat. I reset my mind, body, and soul. I reset my mind because I was ready to get back to the swim, biking, and running. My body needed a break from the daily grind but still got workouts, but MY SOUL was so fulfilled with friends and family.

Honestly, resetting from training helped me significantly in 2019, preparing for my last Ironman Triathlon. First, I went to Boulder for the Training Peaks Endurance Coaching Summit and spoke for the summit. And then, I went to the Ironman World Championship for iKor and Tri-Sirena Apparel. I got a MAJOR RESET and uber motivated. I stopped drinking alcohol to get ready for potentially my last Ironman Triathlon (which it was!)

Why the CTRL-ALT-DEL Fitness Retreat?

As I was getting ready and putting information together about my first CTRL-ALT-DEL- Fitness retreat in July, I started thinking about “Why would be the reason people come to the retreat?”

And this is what I come up with because I felt this many times during my Ironman Triathlon training:

1. You are feeling burned out with training

2. You are frustrated with your fitness routine

3. You are not seeing progress with your training

4. You are craving a shift in your mind toward fitness

5. You are dealing with a critical mind

6. You desire community & travel

Maybe you feel a couple of those; perhaps you think one or feel them all. BUT, I know what you are going to say to me…

I am NOT an Athlete

Maybe you are not getting ready for an Ironman Triathlon, a marathon, or a 100-mile bike ride, but perhaps you feel stagnant with your fitness. Or maybe you are not moving the needle like you would like when it comes to your wellness. You keep working out, but the scale isn’t dropping, or you just aren’t feeling it.

Trust me. I get it. After stepping away from the Ironman world, I had to find a new routine, a new me. And it took me a bit, but I found it through strength training, walks/runs, and yoga, and I LOVE every bit of it, but every once in a while, I need to head to a CrossFit gym or when I am in San Antonio, head to SoulFit with Jason and my girls, so trust me, I get it!

I am Interested in a Reset, Coach! Now What?

Yeah, that makes me happy. So let me tell you a story because this is what I want YOU to feel when you get done with the retreat.

The other day, I posted a photo of myself after swimming for the FIRST TIME since Ironman FL 2019. I was happy as a F%^king clam. I took two years and four months retreat from swimming, but freaking looked at that face.

The smile on my face and the feeling in my heart is the feeling I want YOU to have after my first retreat in Costa Rica. I want you to head back to life and training with:

1. A Happy Heart

2. A Clear Head

3. The Soulful Feels of a Community and a beautiful country

4. A New Schedule (if you need it) from me with your training

5. A New Way of Breathing with Mark Stockton

6. And a complete RESET for the rest of 2022!

Yep, that is it.

I want those feelings for you, just like I had over the 28 years of Ironman Triathlon Training. I took an eight-year sabbatical from triathlons, so I get it!

Put Me In Coach
