Running on Ali’i Drive
Two weeks ago, I was in my element. The Beach. The Ocean Waves. The Sun. Ironman World Championship. I was in Kona, Hawaii. I found a little piece of myself that I truly believed I had lost. Today, I share with you my thoughts on “Running on Ali’i Drive.” My heart is full; my skin is tan, and my mind is in a different place than it was when I went to Kona.
Something that I forgot to add on this vlog was making sure that I had made SPECIFIC my goal to participate at the Ironman Triathlon World Championship. I needed to set a date for when I would get there, and start visualizing that day. How I would feel crossing the finish line. How my body would feel, and what I would be telling myself. Visualization is SUCH a huge tool in the triathlon world. Check out last week’s vlog, “Three Components to an Ironman Triathlon.” I talk about the mental side of triathlon, as well as the physical and the spiritual side of it.
A couple of other notes about my Kona journey. You will see me on Instagram Stories. SnapChat was consuming much of my time. #MovingOnForNow. My IG stories will be about #RulonTriTips for you to learn about triathlons, and your own journey. I get so excited when other athletes succeed at their goals. Now, I am here to help you achieve those goals with my #RulonTriTips. Looking forward to this journey with you as Kona gave me a better idea of who I am, who I need to be for my athletes, and who I want to be.
