Rise with the Tides: A Season of Reclaiming Yourself

There’s a quiet power in watching the tide roll in. It doesn’t rush. It doesn’t force. But it always returns — steady, strong, and sure of itself.

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about tides. Not just the ones I watch from the beaches of Costa Rica, but the ones inside of us — the energetic pull to rise again after seasons of stillness, burnout, or simply feeling… lost.

Maybe you’ve felt it too.
That subtle shift.
That whisper that says: It’s time.

Time to reconnect with your body.
Time to release the version of you who’s been stuck in survival mode.
Time to rise into the next chapter — not from pressure, but from peace.

May Marks a New Season

There’s something sacred about this time of year. The light lingers a little longer. The energy begins to stir. And nature reminds us what we often forget: that rebirth is part of the rhythm.

We aren’t meant to stay in the same season forever.

And yet, how often do we guilt ourselves for needing a reset? How often do we push through exhaustion, ignore the signs, or silence the voice that’s trying to guide us back to ourselves?

Here’s what I know — not just from coaching women for 20+ years, but from living it myself:

You’re allowed to begin again.
You’re allowed to rebuild stronger.
You’re allowed to come home to yourself — body, mind, and soul.

My Own Rise

When I left the world of Ironman triathlons, I didn’t realize how much of my identity was wrapped in performance. I knew how to grind. I knew how to push. But I didn’t know how to pause.

Menopause, divorce, and a major life shift led me straight into that pause — and it was uncomfortable. I felt like I had lost parts of myself. But truthfully, those pieces needed to be let go, so something more aligned could rise in their place.

And that’s what I’m witnessing now — not just in myself, but in so many of the women I coach.

The women that I am coaching now are not looking for a new version of hustling, but they are looking for a deeper connection to themselves, to their strength, their story and their soul!

What Rising Looks Like

Let’s be clear: Rising doesn’t always look like dramatic change. Sometimes, it’s incredibly simple. Gentle. Subtle.

It’s showing up to the workout when motivation is gone.
It’s prepping one meal that nourishes instead of numbs.
It’s putting your phone down and journaling for five minutes.
It’s saying “no” when you used to say “yes” just to keep the peace.

Rising is about remembering who you are — and reclaiming what matters to you now. Not 10 years ago. Not 20 pounds ago. Not before the marriage ended or the hormones shifted.

Who you are today.
And who you’re becoming.

Rise with the Tides

So this is my invitation to you as we move through May: Rise with the tides.

Let the pull be slow and intentional. Let it be sacred.
Let it be about you — not who you’ve had to be for everyone else.

Ask yourself:

  • What am I ready to rise into?

  • What do I need to let go of to rise higher?

  • What daily practice anchors me in the version of me I’m building?

Whether your answer is strength training, morning walks, honest conversations, or a return to faith, honor it.

The woman you’re becoming is worth showing up for.

You’re Not Alone

If this is resonating with you — if you’re navigating a transition or craving a deeper connection to your body, your life, and your purpose — know this:

You don’t have to rise alone.

My work today is built around helping women rebuild their strength — inside and out — especially after big life shifts like menopause, divorce, or simply losing a sense of themselves.

Through coaching, community, and yes, a little Costa Rican soul magic… I guide women back to themselves. And it is some of the most powerful work I’ve ever witnessed.

So if you’re ready to rise, I’m here.
The tides are shifting. The season is calling.
And something beautiful is waiting on the other side.
